What Lakou does not do

No account: no sign-up, no password, no email address — the game does not know who you are. No personal data: no name, no contacts, no location, no photos, no microphone, no camera. No advertising and no advertising trackers; the game never asks for your device's advertising identifier. And nothing is ever sold, to anyone.

What Lakou records

The game measures how it is played, so we can tell what works from what bores people. Those measurements go through Google Firebase Analytics, attached to an identifier the game generates for itself on first launch — a random number, tied neither to you nor to your device. Each measurement carries the installation identifier, how many days since install, the app version, the chosen language and the player's level. Alongside them go the game events themselves: opening, merging, filling an order, restoring a site, purchasing. Nothing else. Firebase separately collects standard technical information — device model, operating system, approximate country from the IP address. See Google's policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy

Your save

Your progress stays on your device. The board, the coins, the restored sites: all stored locally. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is kept on a server. Uninstalling erases it, and it cannot be recovered.

Crash reports

When the game closes unexpectedly, a report is sent through Firebase Crashlytics: what failed, where in the code, the device model and system, and the last few things that happened in the game. It carries the same installation identifier as the measurements above, and no personal data. Without it, a crash that nobody writes to us about is a crash we never learn exists.

The waiting list

If you give us your address on the site, we keep it for one purpose: telling you the day the game opens. It is stored with the language you were reading in, and nothing else — no name, no tracking, no third party. It cannot be read back from the site by anyone, including us in a browser. Ask at lakou@jwetmobil.com and it is deleted.

Purchases

In-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google depending on your device. Lakou never sees your payment method — only the confirmation that a purchase happened.

Children

Lakou is not aimed specifically at children and asks them for nothing. The game is suitable for all ages.

Your rights

Uninstalling the app stops the collection; the installation identifier goes with it. For any question or deletion request, write to lakou@jwetmobil.com.

Changes

Any change to this page is dated at the top. A change that widened the collection would be announced in the release notes.
